Tour Uffizi

The purpose of the tour is to explain to children the development of art from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance.
They will learn what Byzantine art is and they will be able to recognize if a painting is made in 1400 or in 1500 and also to see the influence of Michelangelo and Leonardo in other artists.

Michelangelo became a sculptor thanks to Lorenzo the Magnificent. As a teenager Michelangelo lived in the Medici Palace and sat at the table with the most important men of the time.

So we will focus this tour both on Michelangelo’s work and on the Medici family.

In order to appreciate its beauties, it has to be done at a slow pace.

This tour is designed for those who only have one day in Florence. It combines our most popular tours: Discover Florence, Accademia and Uffizi.
The morning is dedicated to the visit of the city and of the Galleria dell’Accademia.
The tour will show the highlights of the city including the complex of the Cathedral (Duomo, Campanile and Baptistery, all from the outside) , Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, Ponte Vecchio, Medieval towers and Renaissance palaces.
The Accademy visit will focus on Michelangelo’s work: David and the Prisoners.
