Slowly!!! Here we go slowly…

No rush, just the pleasure of relaxing and watching Florence flowing from below. From its river.

The crowd is above you, you can see the people but they are far up and you cannot hear them anymore.
You will only hear the sound of water, of the oars of the rowers next to you and of the voice of your guide describing the monuments and the treasures which will scroll in front of your eyes.

These are small boats that in shape and movement (they are pushed by long poles) recall the tradition of the Medieval “Renaioli”. They were the people who used these boats to collect the river’s sand that had been used to build the city of Florence.
It’s not just having the chance to pass under Ponte Vecchio, but it’s a fantastic chance to be able to enjoy at full the whole city.

The tour starts with a short introduction of the city while you are headed to the boarding with your guide.

The tour is about 2 hours.
PLEASE NOTE that the tour is run from April till October and that it can be CANCELLED LAST MINUTE for bad weather. If so, it will be refund in full.

Academy Tour – Michelangelo’s David

Tour of the Accademia focuses on Michelangelo’s work: David and the Prisoners.
It is meant to recognize the passage from Early to Late Renaissance and especially understand the genius of Michelangelo.

The Academy is the perfect place to understand the modernity of David and why despite its 500 years it is still considered one of the most beautiful statues of the world.

Tour Uffizi

The purpose of the tour is to explain to children the development of art from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance.
They will learn what Byzantine art is and they will be able to recognize if a painting is made in 1400 or in 1500 and also to see the influence of Michelangelo and Leonardo in other artists.

Michelangelo and Medici Tour

Michelangelo became a sculptor thanks to Lorenzo the Magnificent. As a teenager Michelangelo lived in the Medici Palace and sat at the table with the most important men of the time.

So we will focus this tour both on Michelangelo’s work and on the Medici family.

The tour will take you to the Medici chapels, San Lorenzo Basilica and the Accademia.

Galleria Palatina at Pitti Palace

We will visit the “Royal Palace” of Florence, home of all ruling families of the city: Medici, Lorraine and Savoia (king of Italy).

It is an overwhelming museum, full of things to see.
In order to appreciate its beauties, it has to be done at a slow pace.

There are the paintings of incredible artists likeFilippo Lippi, Raphael (10 paintings!), Titian, Rubens…..but there is also astonishing furniture, frescoed ceilings, stuccos….

You’ll be told about stories of people that lived in the palace, about their lives as well as a description of the paintings
