It was our first visit to Italy and so we opted for the ‘walking tour’ of Florence. Paola gave us an amazing tour, not just of the sights, but of the political and art history and how they shaped Florence. (Her English is excellent.) It was a lot to digest, but we found ourselves understanding the city much more throughly. And wishing that we had been able to stay longer. She also arranged for us to have a reserved time at the Uffizi Gallery, which saved us a lot of time in a line-up.”

Michelangelo became a sculptor thanks to Lorenzo the Magnificent. As a teenager Michelangelo lived in the Medici Palace and sat at the table with the most important men of the time.
So we will focus this tour both on Michelangelo’s work and on the Medici family.
The tour will take you to the Medici chapels, San Lorenzo Basilica and the Accademia.
The tour is of about 3 hrs – admission fees not included
