Slowly. This is how we go on this tour. Leave large groups, cruise ships and endless queues behind and come with us out on the water to visit the islands of the Venetian Lagoon.
You cannot say that you were really in Venice, if you have not visited her islands. Only when you see the Campanile of San Marco from the sea you can understand how all of this is unique, fragile and beautiful at the same time.
We propose two routes.
– The first is a visit to Murano, Burano and Torcello, the most famous islands of the lagoon. Our expert guide will tell you about the secrets of glass and mirrors, will show you the ancient technique of lace-making and accompany you on a visit to the first cathedral in Venice.
– The second itinerary is foucsed on the more authentic and less-visited islands: San Francesco del Deserto, Torcello and San Lazzaro degli Armeni. We will give you the history of the mosaics of St Francis cathedral, tell you the tales of how he got there and of the Benedictine monasteries and the lazaretto that was here.
You will have plenty of time, visiting calmly and without haste, lulled by the water as you move from one island to the other to soak up the colors and the charm of these little places.
A visit to the islands of Venice is an emotional voyage to remember.
