A visit to the Galleria Palatina, located inside the Pitti Palace, will reveal the splendor of the so-called Royal Palace of Florence, home to all the ruling families of the city, including the House of Medici, the House of Lorraine and the House of Savoia, which ruled unified Italy from 1861 until the end of the World War II.

The museum houses the paintings of such incredible artists as Filippo Lippi, Raphael, Titian, Caravaggio and Peter Paul Rubens. But the art is only a part of the magnificent palace: there are frescoed ceilings and the apartments are filled with astonishing furniture and priceless artefacts.
