A tour of the Palazzo Vecchio, seat of the city’s government since 1299,  will help you understand the spirit of Florence.

You will discover the proud Republic that created the palace, once the magnificent home of the powerful Medici family, and learn about Michelangelo’s David, which stands at the entrance.

We will take you through the public and private rooms of the Grand Duke Cosimo I and his wife, Leonora, and show you how the soldiers used the walkway to protect the Republic from enemy assaults.

Should you choose to climb to the top of the tower, you will be able to see the entire city from one of its highest points. You will feel like a medieval soldier as you take in the stunning views of Florence.

The tour is of about 2 and half hours.
Please note that there are about 200 steps to climb.
